Mr Bowman's Birthday

Mr Bowman's Birthday is an annual informal toy steam engine event at the Abbey Pumping Station held on the penultimate Saturday of November. It is basically an opportunity for the exhibitors at our more formal "Steam Toys In Action" event to meet each other and operate their engines without the stresses and distractions of the 2,500 or so visitors that attend our main event. The day is run on a strictly informal, drop in at any time and bring an engine or two, basis and is open to any interested person.
